1900’s: a sports series

CREATIVE / ART DIRECTION / PHOTOGRAPHY

Drawing from turn of the century studio portrait photography with its painted backgrounds and understated props, this image series reimagines the style through the lens of vintage sports cards. A restrained color palette was essential to embrace the transition from classic black and white portraiture. The use of wood and leather props introduces depth and tonal variation, harmonizing with natural skin tones and the all white wardrobe to achieve a refined duotone aesthetic.
